2nd Week
CSA delivery for the 2nd week included Early
Jersey Cabbage, tender green onions,
Buttercrunch lettuce, and Eight Ball
squash(specialty round squash). The warmer
weather really seems to be bringing on the
blooms now. This is our first picking of
squash and we are looking forward to more.
Tomatoes are still sitting nice and green, any
day now for them to ripen. Bell peppers and
eggplants are on their way.
Note: Members who pick up on Tuesdays at
RiverLanding and Thursdays at Tidal Creek
may have slightly different boxes. We decide
on what to pack depends on which vegetables
are ripe on each particular day.
Tidal Creek pickup included different variety of squash and
lettuce. Some boxes received zucchini, some eight ball squash,
some patty pan yellow or white.
